Closing in at 9pm. Slowly finding rest. Slowly getting location and mood aligned again. Having a local beer with food from abroad. Watching with amazement what the depths of the city bring out for the night.

Throwback Feb 21, 2014. That's when travelling to Berlin and spending a few nights in the busy city was something one really did for fun, somewhat regularly. And even there, trying to find the silence in things. Initially posted to Instagram.

Throwback Dec 4, 2014. On the road, Berlin. Lunch break during a business trip. Somewhere near Treptower Park I guess. Poor quality again compared to most of todays cameras and shots; back then again it was more "instant" point-shoot-send. And usually immediately ended up in shorter communications with locals asking or recommending things. This strange kind of interaction was unique to "early" Instagram days and seems missing on virtually any other network ever since.

Throwback Nov 13, 2017. Berlin again. Business trip, business lunch, discussing ontologies in perl and the odd way this part of the city has changed even by then. Guess it's much worse nowadays.
