8am and on. Partially initialized. Putting pieces in its place. Watching the doves outside start their routines too, lost for a moment wondering what on earth a doves daily routine could actually be. Different coffee different mood and a fully planned day, just one small step ahead.

Dann packt man die Träume zurück in die Schublade, eilig, aber vorsichtig genug, dass sie möglichst wenig Schaden nehmen. Taschen füllen für den Tag, Schönes zum Wichtigen legen, und dann den Bürgersteig, den kalten Beton, den dauergrauen Dreck unter den Sohlen spüren, auf dem Weg durch die anderen Erwachenden, durch die Unbestimmtheit des Augenblicks, durch die Zeit, in der die Seele noch nicht vollständig präsent ist. Bustüren. Bahnhaltestellen. Themenlose Unterhaltungen, Thermosbecher. Eine Armlänge weiter die vorbeiziehende Stadt. Und wieder: Zu sich kommen. Habt es mild heute!

4pm and on. The later the day the brighter the sun. Metal roof glaring in golden afternoon. Wind shaking the blinds. Doves are gone, the christmas tree in the office lounge has seen better days but still keeps up its lights. Found chocolate in the drawer. Not too bad given the hour of day.

Dienstmittag. Möglichkeiten, Notwendigkeiten, wackelige Vorsätze für das neue Jahr: Kirschkuchen. Dazu Grußformeln. Kaffeemaschinenwartung und Stapel alter Neuigkeiten auf Küchentischen. Bürohund schläft wieder, die Füße zucken durch ungesehene Anderswelten. Terminerinnerungen. Rasende Wolken, wenig Sonne. 

8am and on. A drill on concrete, somewhere in the building, right to the depths of nerves and senses. That fuzzy grey cloud out there are doves that made their way back in between these houses. Office workers doing phone calls while looking out of the window, on the opposite side of the building. Also: Letting in a breeze of air. Wondering whether anyone has been here the last three weeks. Probably not. Old dust old calendars and thriving coffee mug civilizations.
